Scense Easy Delivery

Scense Easy Delivery delivers applications to end users in just a couple of mouse clicks and within seconds. Scense Easy delivery is extremely easy to use and will help you to delegate delivery tasks to application managers and even end users. As an administrator, you will however remain in control of all applications within your organization.

By using Scense Easy Delivery, you don't need any technical knowledge like scripting or packaging. You will not need to hire expensive personnel. You will be able to do it yourself and you will save money while doing so.

After using Scense Easy Delivery, end users will be able to use the applications on whatever they log on, there is no risk of application conflicts and the administrator will remain in control.

  

How does it work?

The first step is to select the application you need to deliver. The second step is to select the Active Directory group with users that need to have access to this application. Scense will analyze the package and retrieve all information about the icons, shortcuts, installation instructions etc. and store this information in the central database, separate from the application packages which will be copied to a file share, unchanged. From that moment on, all users within the AD group, will receive new shortcuts in their profile and will be able to use the application on request.

Application Conflicts?

Delivering applications with Scense Easy Delivery will guaranteed be conflict free because of the use of Adaptive Installer. Application conflicts will be recognized and resolved during the installation on the desktop. No conflict databases or application packaging needed. You will save hundreds of dollars per application per year.

App-V or SVS?

Besides Windows Installer files, Scense Easy Delivery also supports applications virtualized with SVS or App-V. You don't need to put another delivery architecture in place. Just deliver these applications with Scense Easy Delivery and manage them centrally with the management console: Scense Explorer.

Other delivery types?

You decided to use ThinApp, InstallFree, Xenocode or generic installers to package you applications? No problem, Scense Explorer supports all common delivery types and you will be able to deliver these applications in the same easy and transparent way.

Will I remain in control?

Yes, you will. By using Scense Explorer, you will be able to change the behavior of the application afterward or need to make changes to the desktop environment to make sure the application works like you want it to. You will also be able to block applications, deliver updates and upgrades and reinstall applications if needed.

I want some of them to install their own applications.

The Scense Easy Delivery mechanism can also be used to have end users install their own applications.They do not need administrative privileges to do so. The applications they install will be fully portable, there will be no risk of breaking other applications and most important: the administrator will remain in full control.
