Scense 7 launched

Scense, the Netherlands’ fastest-growing provider of User Workspace Management solutions, launches Scense Release 7.

Rotterdam, March 2010. The release of Scense 7 marks another major step forward in simplifying the management and delivery of the end-user workspace within virtual and physical Windows desktop environments.

As well as a long list of product enhancements, the new release delivers support for Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit) desktop environments, integration with Microsoft’s App-V 4.6 application virtualization, integration with Symantec Workspace Virtualization 6.1 and a completely redesigned user interface.

Full integration with the latest releases of Microsoft’s App-V and Symantec’s SWV is a major feature of Scense 7. The new release also further simplifies the management of applications virtualized with App-V and SWV in 32 and 64-bit environments and leverages the implementation of these technologies. As the company’s fast-growing customer base proves, Scense has made application virtualization a viable option for many companies, by making it far easier and faster to adopt. Release 7 marks another major advance in bringing its benefits within the reach of every organization.

Most analysts expect the 2010 agenda of IT managers to be dominated by the migration to Windows 7 and HVD. With Scense 7, personal settings and applications are decoupled from the underlying Windows OS and profile, so that the end user’s workspace is available across Windows platforms. As a result, migrating to Windows 7 or a virtual desktop environment becomes surprisingly straightforward, with the experience for the end user remaining consistent throughout.
