Because of the increasing impact of trends like desktop virtualization, application virtualization, Windows 7 migrations and the consumerization of IT, IT departments today are struggling to provide their end users with a consistent and reliable user experience. Traditional solutions like Microsoft’s roaming profiles and existing profile virtualization solutions have proven to be insufficient in delivering Windows user profiles with application settings and data across all available platforms. Because of that, Scense has shipped Scense Live Profiles.

A select number of Scense customers is already experiencing the benefits of Scense Live Profiles today. Before implementing Scense Live Profiles, one of them, the IJsselland hospital was struggling to provide application access to medical staff on their iPads. Menno van den Heuvel of IJsselland explains: “Our medical doctors need to be able to access personalized medical applications and data fast and in a reliable manner. Settings and data should be available instantly.” Menno continues: “Because of Scense Live Profiles, our medical staff doesn’t have to wait anymore for personal settings to be available and because of the transparency of this solution, they are able to access medical applications on any device: even on their iPads.”
